Getaway to Maasser El Chouf

A quick getaway weekend was all what we needed to recharge and get to pass the rest of August

we headed to a local guest house at the cedar forest and silence, nature, along with a late night party of "tawlet zaher" was just beyond amazing, and it took us away from the daily routine

August at a glance

A summer trip to Bekaa

as part of our summer plan, we headed for Bekaa to spend couple days at a guesthouse within a farm

the next day we went to a nearby waterpark

and it was all in all one relaxing trip

I concluded after this getaway that my kids have finally reached that milestone where you hear them say: "mom, we are going to the big pool" and you keep on sipping your juice laying on that chair peacefully with that book you were longing to read (and yes, without blinking :)

  

The first day, kids played around, discovering the farm and we found that little kitten that followed us everywhere. kids were not annoyed at all, especially Ghadi who almost adopted it

the second day we headed to the water park and they had a blast!

the last day was a calm relaxing one, the setting was nice offering traditional apartments based on a renovated old house

and we said farewell to kitty before leaving 

and we had to hear the song "mom, can we get a little kitten" for the next two weeks
