A summer trip to Bekaa

as part of our summer plan, we headed for Bekaa to spend couple days at a guesthouse within a farm

the next day we went to a nearby waterpark

and it was all in all one relaxing trip

I concluded after this getaway that my kids have finally reached that milestone where you hear them say: "mom, we are going to the big pool" and you keep on sipping your juice laying on that chair peacefully with that book you were longing to read (and yes, without blinking :)

  

The first day, kids played around, discovering the farm and we found that little kitten that followed us everywhere. kids were not annoyed at all, especially Ghadi who almost adopted it

the second day we headed to the water park and they had a blast!

the last day was a calm relaxing one, the setting was nice offering traditional apartments based on a renovated old house

and we said farewell to kitty before leaving 

and we had to hear the song "mom, can we get a little kitten" for the next two weeks

I've won free tickets on Instagram for a concert in Baalbeck

yes, that was too good to be true, the concert is an hommage to Abdul Halim Hafiz with screening of his best movies

our trip started with a hang out in the old souks, a quick meal of Lahm B'ajeen, and a photo shoot at the famous temples

in one word, it was MAGICAL!

Summer Camp 2019

July, colonie, water parks and outings

kids were super excited on their first day to summer camp, me too you can bet on that  

I'm not sure though if next year they will be willing to go, it's been already 8 years that Ghadi attends this campus and they seem like enjoying staying at home lately

JUNE in a glance

June started with the festive days of Eid El Fitr

Ghadi fasted almost the whole month and as always we woke up to the table full of delicious unhealthy treats

the time I can dedicate for decorating the house is getting less with every passing year

but I am at least trying to keep this tradition of waking up to gifts and treats

and Sary was flying when he saw the Minecraft Storymode he always wished to have

and then heading to grandparents's houses to wish Happy Eid and get the Money- El Eidiyyeh ;)

  

 besides that, kids enjoyed a day at the Hippodrome celebrating spring

and another gathering in the mountains with my dear nephew

a bit of crazy moments at home,

 and a farewell to kids' school, hoping the new school will bring them success, joy and happy memories (crossing fingers)

Time for spring cleaning

And this time it is up to kids to choose what to keep and what to give away!
that was one long sorting session
but It was relieving to leave the decision to them, and unsurprisingly just few items were left to throw away because every single item has its own memory and its place in their lovely pure hearts ;)

Quick unexpected visit

last month my dear nephew visited us for couple days
that was one unexpected and very pleasant surprise, it's been years that kids didn't have the chance to get along with him
so time passed so quickly and experiences were exchanged (in the world of gaming of course ;)
and Sary couldn't sleep without holding his present. so sweet!
