Ramadan was amazing this year

Being home during the lockdown, and finding a more peaceful rhythm for the crazy everyday routine was a blessing. On the day of Eid and since we could not visit relatives and socialize we decided to take the kids out, but since all public places are closed due to the COVID restrictions, we went with our neighbors (our close circle) to go the the Barouk area where we found a small empty Cafe, and yes: Kids had a blast

Covid, Lockdown, Zoom!

yes, three terms we have never previously used in our life, and which became on the top list of searched words on google in 2020

At first it was surreal, then scary, then frustrating. nothing would compare to how humanity felt during this period and for the next couple years. lockdown time was a chance to spend more time together as a family, to connect with each other, and with God. To appreciate the things we had, the people we love and care for. Covid made us realize never to take for granted a handshake, meeting with neighbors, the school rush each morning, the gathering at the coffee shop, and the small things that make the everyday life normal.

we celebrated our neighbor's birthday over the balconies, we did cake, brought balloons and the whole neighborhood heard us singing and joined the party 

  

cozy start for 2020 & Sary is 9!

We kicked off the new year with cozy evenings and indoor activities, playing board games and baking. if we knew what was awaiting us, we would have spent every minute outdoor, with the loved ones. 

Hala came in March and we celebrated Sary's birthday together

Sary, my lovely boy, 10 years now! turning lovelier and sweater and cuter than ever. I am blessed to have you, a boy with such a caring heart is the dream of every mother. I hope life will give you its best, which is what you deserve. my advice to you on your special day? never be afraid to leap, chase your dreams all while keeping the kindness that fills that little heart of yours

New year 2019

As the end of 2919 was approaching, everything seemed normal. We had an exciting summer with many trips, we were anticipating the festive season.

we started hearing about COVID but we never thought it is serious. Jumana visited in October, but it wasn’t a merry environment in Lebanon, the economic situation was getting worse, the so called revolution and the crazy chaos on the street. But still we all hoped for a joyous happy 2020!
