March 2021 recap

March is usually cool, starting with Sary's birthday, ending with mother's day 

but what was much more special this year is a spontaneous visit from my sister Jumana

we loved every moment, despite the Covid constraints and precautions

also, mother's day and some other moments captured this month:

Sary is 10!

Sary just turned 10 today, and I couldn't be prouder. From the moment he entered our life, he has brought nothing but joy, laughter, and love. Watching him grow into such an amazing young person has been the greatest journey. His kindness fills our hearts with happiness. Happy birthday, my wonderful son!

New Year 2021, Lockdown, oh and we got Covid!

2021 

what a year, like a whole lifetime

we had a cool lunch and an amazing trip with the neighbors to celebrate the new year hoping it will be merry covid-free  

and oh how we were mistaken

but it wasn't the case

I got COVID in February (during the lockdown!)

kids were not able to approach me and I thought it was the hardest thing ever

not being able to hold and hug your kids

it was tearing me apart

along with the fever and the pain I was feeling from toes to head

few days after kids caught covid and Jamil too eventually

we are grateful it was tolerable, just fever for kids

grateful we are finally free of the panic that was haunting us

and finally ready to start the year full of hope and energy 

not knowing it will be the year I will never forget

we celebrated my birthday going out to Sawfar

I am so grateful for many things

on top of the list is that we are all healthy

that we can still laugh and enjoy every breath, although what we have been through this year was not easy

but this is how we go on, 

seeing these smiles, thinking that they are safe and sound
