To the Silk Museum!

During the last weekend of August and just before school started I suggested we go to the Silk Museum!

Actually Ghadi was the one behind the idea, he just remembered that last year at school his class made a trip to this place but he couldn't accompany them because he was sick and at home... 

he asked me to to take him before he goes back to school!

and surely I couldn't say no!

I had no idea what to expect, but surely it was way beyond my expectations!

I just can't skip posting about his first day at school!

Just like every year,

Ghadi shows no single sign of anxiety or fear

he's smiling all the time, engaging in class activities and enjoying being finally there!

and also like every year, I couldn't help myself and I had wet eyes,

seeing him growing up and turning to a big boy, in "Grande Section"...

Now to be fair, 

this blog is to document EVERTHING...

Including the teacher's impression about Ghadi which I heard last week.

we had parents reunion, and it turned out that Ghadi is not being the ideal little boy!

he's got three red points because his space at the bookcase was not well organized!

he sings aloud while they do worksheets

and he's a bit lousy and doesn't pay so much attention to his handwriting!

but she also mentioned that he has bright eyes, he absorbs all information quickly and that he is smart!

I was standing there, hearing what she was saying and smiling...

yes, smiling...

hope I will always be smiling at such reunions Ghadi!

Al Fitr 2012!

Adha Eid is in one week!

and I haven't posted photos of Al Fitr Eid- August 2012!

it was simply awesome!!!!!

Happy Birthday Ghadi!

since 4 years now, I say a statement at the same day of every year...

I declare that I will not be holding Birthday parties

until kids reach at least 8 years old...

so they would be able to appreciate the huge effort we make 

to make their day a special one...

and every year I break the promise I made to myself,

 and I start planning,

happily, joyfully and with all the excitement of the kid inside me!

Two weeks ago we celebrated Ghadi's Birthday... and to my disagreement, it wasn't at home,

but at a fast food chain restaurant, as Ghadi requested!

(I will never be holding Birthday parties outside home again!)

but it doesn't mean that the party wasn't awesome!

I was able to invite many people, more than I would have if it was at home!

Ghadi invited his friends from school, and that was so epic,

to see all those cute happy faces!

Teething Vs Sleeping

We can say that Sary is passing through the last stage of teething...
he already has 12 teeth and another 4 are showing up.
waking up at night, screaming, being not able to eat, fussiness and tantrums are the usual signs and we are coping with this, hoping that it will all be over once those tiny canines are there!

Autumn Wishes, Summer photos - Part II

During the summer, my sister as usual came from abroad and spent an incredible month with us!

we had lot of time outdoors!

Ghadi was thrilled by the presence of his cousin, my beloved nephew!

even at home, we spent joyful times!

Autumn Wishes!

There are Eid wishes, Anniversary wishes, New Year wishes,
so why not implement Autumn Wishes!

Yesterday Autumn 2012 declared its arrival, with a heavy shower...
it rained almost all night..
I looked through the window,
I prayed,
and I wished that all the dust of our life will wash away with these fresh new lovely drops of rain.
the dusty memories, the dust in our brains, and the dust on our hearts that keep us from enjoying the light!

It also occurred to my mind, that I haven't posted the photos related to our crazy summer!
so it's now or never,
otherwise, those photos will not be suitable if it gets a little bit colder! :)

Ghadi is 5!

Dear Ghadi…

Last week, we celebrated your birthday…now you are five…FIVE!

Oh boy,

Too many thoughts, too many feelings…

You are transforming so fast…

Where do I begin…

Oh, maybe five years ago?

Autumn Leaves...

so it's already October...
my favorite month...
of my favorite season...
another summer passed by, but we can still smell the sea waves,
sand  grains are still in that huge bag full of beach toys!
even the swimsuits are still in the drawers... as if we didn't accept yet that idea
that it's already October!

the Autumn begins always in our home in a festive way!
Back to School...
Ghadi's Birthday...
New toys and new books...
and the cool event: Sary is going to nursery!

yes
all of the above is accompanied by huge emotions and great feelings...
and shall be documented by many many posts to come!

just waiting for the pace of my life to slow down a bit...
and for my feelings to stop whirling...
and for my thoughts to fall in the right order!

Summary of the flying Summer!

I know it's been too much time since I last posted something.
Summer is almost done! couple more days and it's already Autumn!

All that is obvious!
but what isn't obvious is the amount of fun and joy we had during this crazy summer!
as a super quick recap:

July:
*  My sister came  to Lebanon and spent an amazing vacation! i.e. Great time with my nieces (again!), long hours at the beach, so much laughs and tears and emotions!
* Nintendo entered our World, thanks to my sister: Hello Peace!

August:
* Ramadan... and shall I say more? Inner Peace, lovely gatherings, shorter working hours, longer quality time spent with kids... and Happy happy joyful month.
*Summer Camp and an amazing ending party

September:
* this month started as festive as ever:  Eid al Fitr... including Gifts, Fireworks, Family gatherings, and a down side related to Virus attacking the little one causing him severe diarrhea!
*a concert of the spiritual singer Sami Yussuf
* an awesome overwhelming gathering with friends of mine, friends I haven't seen in 8 years!
*funny bath times
*and surely the BACK TO SCHOOL topic!

so I'll be preparing some photos to wrap all this up, hoping that I'll be able to post them soon, along with many cute stories about two little boys, who are filling every second of my life with happiness and reminding me to thank God for his gifts with every breath I take.

Tyr!

And here comes Episode 2 of our beach series!
end of June we went to Tyr, to the amazing white sands, accompanied by family and friends.
kids explored/enjoyed/experimented,
especially Sary who was so disgusted at first, then he caught the fun and we couldn't move him away!

Marmar, visited us 2 months ago!

I almost lost track of all the belated events i wanted to blog about...
one of them is the visit of Marmar at the end of June...
It's a character created by the Arabic teacher at school, and it is inspired from teh children book "Marmar", talking about a little girl who does lots of naughty stuff at home, and always apologies to her mom...

so every pupil has to receive her for a weekend and this is cute... she accompanied us everywhere...
we took many photos, and Ghadi helped by sorting them out in Marmar's diary book.
